Cynthia and John Thanks for the info which sadly I do not think is linked to my ancestors. My roots are traced to Brompton near Northallerton from where ggg's migrated to Yarm then Thornaby and Middlesbrough. Brotton is near Middlesbrough but I am not aware of any descendants from the Brompton Olivers living in that particular area. I have made no futher progress at my end so desparately need to visit the archives in Northallerton sometime. Keep searching Ken Oliver
