We corresponded quite awhile ago..If I am not mistaken, Marion and Milton Oliver (twins) were on a census with Bartlett Cannon White and his wife Anetta Brooks on one of the Taney Co MO census records........is that correct? I am also a descendant of Bartlett Cannon WHITE,thru their son, James Marion WHITE who married to LUCINDA JANE HAGGARD. LUCINDA JANE WAS THE dughter of Turner and Martha OLIVER-HAGGARD, Martha -daughter of James and Rachel HOLMAN OLIVER. The census says the twins were born in either TX or Missouri.....which is correct?? Martha would be a sister to Frances Marion Oliver. Author: Sheila_Schmutz Surnames: Oliver, Bradshaw, Pulliam Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.oliver/4657.1.2.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Happy Holidays! There are now 9 Oliver men who match with Y DNA in the "bright yellow" group on the Oliver Y DNA project. see http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gaoliver/OliverLines.html for the suggested relationships among these men. Their ancestors are from Caroline Co, VA but they include Oliver families in Amelia County, Nottoway Co, Hanover Co, VA. The latest match descends from John Clemence Oliver, b. 1806 VA and died 1850 in Livingston Co, MO. He married Mary Jane Pulliam on 5 Dec 1827, in Prince Edward Co, VA. before moving to Brunswick Co, VA by the 1840 census. A Margaret Oliver married John J Pulliam on 14 Nov 1837 in Brunswick and appear on the 1840 census there. This seems coincidental, so I suspect that they may be related - siblings perhaps? A John Oliver married Sally Bradshaw on 2 Nov 1801 in Prince Edward Co, VA. Her parents were John Bradshaw and Margaret Clemments according to various postings on RootsWeb. I suspect that they may be the parents of John Clemence Oliver, and his middle name is derived from the surname of his maternal grandmother. Now......how does this John Oliver connect to the others??? Any information on any of the above persons is welcome! Sheila [email protected] PS More Oliver men in this line doing DNA is also welcome!
