I was once told by another Oldham researcher that Richard "Ready Money" may have been more well off than his relatives. When his relatives needed assistance, they came to him and he was always ready with the money. Of course, there is no proof to this idea but it's fun to speculate. I appreciate his nick name because it gives him a unique identification that sets him apart from all the other Richards. Sue
