My Nancy Oldham, whose father came from Manchester, married a man whose family came from Macclesfield. His name was Thomas Mann. I tend to get excited when I see a geographical correlation because I think marriages occurred more often when families were acquainted. I did find a Charles Oldham b. 1732 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England through Rootsweb Surname Resources. It's called the Oldham Genealogical Database 120543. He married Mary WOODRUFF, b. abt. 1736.
