Hi, My wife's 4th great grandmother was Martha (Matty) OLDHAM b. 1749 in Mickle Hurst, Lancashire, England and d. July 16, 1785. Matty married John KENWORTHY on March 3, 1762 at St. Michael, Ashton under Lyne. John KENWORTHY was b. March 31, 1741 at Hurst Hall, Lancashire, England and d. April 16, 1785. The children of John and Matty were as follows: Alice b. March 1, 1764 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. October 17, 1813. Mary b. March 17, 1766 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. November 17, 1837. William b. May 30, 1768 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. Catharine b. July 20, 1770 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. September 27, 1818 in Stockport, England. Sally b. July 20, 1770 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. December 29, 1818 in Stockport, England. (Something looks fishy here in that Catharine and Sally are shown as being born on the same day and dying on the same day. One source shows that Catharine or Kitty were twin sisters). John b. August 18, 1774 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. Aseneth b. March 6, 1777 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. December 31, 1868. Cornelious b. June 16, 1778 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. George b. July 20, 1779 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. Ann b. December 8, 1780 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. James b. October 6, 1782 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. January 15, 1860. Neddy b. December 19, 1783 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. Neddy b. July 5, 1785 in Hurst, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England and d. Unknown. This is as much as we know about Martha. However, we can take the Kenworthy line back to the early 1600's.
