I don't know either, but there were several brothers that were in Early Va to the Carolina and then Ky, and Tenn, while my Elias b. 1775(supposely so of James d.1830-1832) can't remember stayed in South Carolina, then to Ala., then Yazoo Co Ms. in 1830 then to Carroll Co. Ms. where he and his wife Mary Ann Greenlee died in 1840. Some of their children stayed in that area while part headed for Texas as did Elias Earle Oldham and his wife Amanda Selman. They went to East Texas, then some of children came to Central Texas area. Every generations and every family had a son named John. I remember one being in Madison Co., Ky. in early 1800's.
