I have been to Ashville several times; I was able to locate both Lewis' and James' graves and found one descendant. I also located Artimas' homeplace on top of a ridge, which has now been developed into a subdivision; but it has the most beautiful view! It is so exciting to finally contact someone from your side of the family--I have searched for soooo long for someone! My side of the family moved from St. Clair Co up to Ft. Payne, thence to GA, where I was born. Now live in NC. I have a fair amount of information on the Oldhams also, should you be interested. By the way, I had never been able to discover that Lewis' middle name was Asable--how did you come up with that? Can't wait to hear from you!
