One and all, I'm sending this through simultaneously to several lists who might benefit from the info. I went to the Garst Museum in Greenville, OH today and found a folder there on my ancestors. What a joy! I recommend the museum to anyone. It is wonderful and the ladies there are very nice and helpful. Anyhow, here we go: Charles and Standley Oldham, two brothers in Middletown (Middlewich?) England near Manchester. Charles came to America and settled in Phila. PA (no date). Standley stayed in England and married Susan Worthington. They had five children: three sons and two daughters among whom were Martha (died young) Betty m. Peter Okle and Joseph. Joseph married ? and had six children: John, James, Edwin, Thomas, Samuel and Fanny. John Oldham came to America in 1848, settled in Troy, Ohio and married Polly (Mary) Blackmore. His brother Samuel came over in 1850 and settled near his brother, also marrying a Blackmore named Eliza. She was his first wife. He had two others Rachel Shuff, and Anna Landis. They had all kinds of kids, the details of which I can supply if anyone wants. John and Mary had at least two children, maybe three (according to the 1850 census). Standley, Sarah and James. Standley was born in 1845 and married Abagail Young. Their children were many among which was Charles my great-grandfather. I sent the rest of this through, but thought someone might benefit from knowing about the brothers in England and where in England they came from. Next I will try to corroborate all of this with other information. Most of it fits in with the written account my grandma, Ethel Oldham left with me.
