Oldham Collins [email protected] 1903: His marriage date. Both his parents are dead. He lives in Burlington, Iowa. He's a laborer. He says he will be 40 on his next birthday. His mother's name is given as Martha Hull but his father's name is given as George W. Oldham. (We know him as Minor Oldham.) His bride is 24 years old. If his birthday is correct, we have a problem. His mother remarried in 1862 AFTER the death of her first husband. I have a copy of the marriage certificate of Martha to William Shepler. THEY were married in 1862. George says he was born in 1863. What's going on here? Notes for Elizabeth "Elsie" Katherine Lund The researcher to contact about this line is: James D.
