Hello, Do you know anything about Jesse Oldham Jr? He was from Madison County, KY. He lived in Otter Creek near Boonsborugh. He was my 4th greatgrandfather. Is there any connection to any of your relatives? Thanks, Shelia Oldham Wilburn
Do you know who we could contact if we're interested in attending? There used to be another Oldham Family reunion in the Shelbyville, IN area. I will try to find out more about that one too. There is an annual Oldham Family reunion held on Memorial Day weekend. This year's reunion will be held on May 26, in Rockport, Indiana. I'd be happy to compare notes to establish if our lineage crosses. I do know that a Nancy Oldham married Samuel Smith in the mid 1800s and Letticia Oldham married Squire Lowery Smith in the early 1800s, both marriages were in Grayson Cty, Kentucky, and these ladies are part of my ancestry. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, April 01, 2002 12:57 PM Subject: [OLDHAM] Re: Rhoda Oldham Smith > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Vm3.2ACEB/230.234.237.241.246 > > Message Board Post: > > Jan, > Referring to your past message about an Oldham family reunion held in Indiana, do you have any information? > > Thanks, > Karen > > > ==== OLDHAM Mailing List ==== > OLDHAM RESEARCH REPOSITORY > http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~theoldhams/families/oldham/index.ht ml > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >

Hi Donna, Talked with my great Aunt Etta Oldham Long..this is what she remembers about David Oldham. David " Pappy " Oldham retired from cutting hair and he and his wife went to the Mason's Home in Louisville, Ky. Aunt Etta doesn't remember them as being related to us, but does remember them coming to Papa Jeff Oldham's home in Mortons Gap to visit during the summer after they moved to Louisville. She doesn't remember any of the Henderson's at all. Could find out more about them through the Masonic Temple in Mortons Gap or the home in Louisville.......... Aunt Etta remembers David Oldam as "Good looking man, dark hair and eyes...medium height" "Sold his home and gave everything to the Masons.....and was sorry afterwards"......Aunt Etta's remembering and talking so I am setting here typing.. I lost the e-mail address of this person but here is a copy of her e-mail... Hope it helps.. Deborah, I don't know if this is any help. I don't know very much about the Oldhams. My grandmother married a man named David Oldham,he was called Pappy Oldham. They were married for about 50 years. Pappy Oldham owned a barber shop in Madisonville, KY where he cut hair for many years. They had one son named Doug, who married a lady named Lucille. They lived in Hendersonville, KY. They are both deceased now. They had 4 children, there names are Diane,June,Darrell,Terri. Diane had a daughter named Cyndie. I don't know the names of the others children. Doug was a truck driver, and he played a steel guitar in a country band, the owner of the band was Pee Wee King. AS far as I know they still live in the Hendersonville area. I have not seen them in years. Oh by the way my Grandmothers name was Ruby. Her maiden name was Dillingham, from Nortinville, KY. Her first husband was Charlie Cornell, and he was my dads father. Good Luck on your search as there are many Oldhams these are the only ones ! I know of. Donna
