    3. To the list, Then I will ask, is there anyone out there that can tell me if they have any information on an Anthony Hays. He is my Great, Great Grandfather. I have him listed in the 1850 census living in Brucetown, VA as an apprentice shoeman. It says he was married by D. Francis Spriggs In the 1860 census he would be married to Margaret Ann (Payne) with his son, William F., age 1. It states that they are living in Frederick Co., VA at that time. I have not been able to find out any information on him before 1850. I do not know where he may have been born or his parents names. The information that I have seems to point to the fact that he may have been born around 1835. I do not have any information for him after 1880. I do not even know where he is buried. I know that the family settled around the Hedgesville, Martinsburg, WV area. Around the time of the 1880 census the family is living in Hedgesville, Berkeley Co., WV. I would appreciate any help with this. I have been working on this man for about 20 years.
