Was Berkeley Co. VA at one time a part of Old Frederick Co.VA? My ancestor was John Jasper who witnessed the will of John Covenhoven in 1778. He is said to have lived at one time in Frederick Co. VA, but he died in Union Co. SC in 1799. I am still looking for the ancestry of John Jasper and would be interested in information on any Jaspers who lived in Frederick Co. VA in the 1700s.
