Hi Lyle, I have the 1850-60-70 Hardy Co., W.V. Census'. Don't know if this will help or not , but the 1850 census shows a George Hill, 27; Emily C., 22; Jacob K., 3. They do not show in the 1860 census. There is an Isaac Hill, 46; Maria, 42; William,17; Jacob, 15; Mary, 13; Charles L, 11, Isaac F., 9; Samuel A., 9; Ann R., 7; George W., 5; John P.,1. Both of these George's are too early to be the one you are looking for, but might be his father. I listed all of the names on the chance that some of the other names might be familiar to your friend. Much of my family started out in Frederick Co. Va., but ended up in Hardy Co. W.V. With the way that area changed, when I am looking for someone, I check all of the surrounding counties in both states. Good luck Bettie Myers Wehland
