    3. Carol: I am a descendant of Cornelius Bowman b 1740, d 1826 in Clay County, KY, m Susannah Abbott. He seems to be issue of an immaculate conception. I have been unable to find anything on his parents. I keep working on it hoping to find something someday. I am suspicious that he comes from a German Baumann line, but have nothing even suggestive of that. English/Irish Bowmans in the VA and NC where I find Cornelius to have been seem to have arrived in the Colonies after 1740. Are you a Bowman?
