You mention Reuben >Marker (p11-Historical Records...) and Mary Ann Marker (a great >aunt)marrying Hiram Alkire (p71). Thanks to the detailed Frederick Co map: First: Stephens City (Frederick Co) has gone by many names including Stephensburg and Stephens. Second: North Mountain does cross down into Frederick County. It is directly north of Winchester. It was also called Green Spring Mountain and Back Creek Mountain. There is now also Great North Mountain range which forms the southern section of the boundary between Frederick county and West Virginia. This extends northeast beyond the point the boundary jags to the northwest extending to where highway fifty curves around it. By the map it seems to have had also the name Devil's Mountain.
