Help! Is anyone researching the Stephenson surname? I believe my ancestors origins are in Fredrick County, but am not positive at this point. I have traced my line back to James Stephenson who was born in Virginia in 1798. I believe this James to have been the son of James Stephenson and Margaret Smith. Does anyone know anything about these James? Was James (the spouse of Margaret Smith) the son of James Stephenson and Anne Garner? I would really appreciate any help . David Stephenson
