Regarding several postings, marriage on the Harpers Ferry bridge must have been common. My first cousin twice removed, John Baily Griffith married Anne Susanne Huffman on the bridge August 11, 1880. He was the son of Andrew Clendenning Griffith of Winchester so I presume he traveled some distance to be married on the bridge.
