Charles SNODGRASS can be found in the following locations: Frederick Co., VA in 1770; Berkeley Co., WV in early 1770s; Monongalia Co. where he served in the militia in 1774; Fayette Co., PA in early 1780s; and Monongalia Co., WV late in 1780s. The second wife of Charles Snodgrass, Sr. was Barbara FOULK and it is believed that they married in the mid 1790s. The Foulk family owned the first pottery in Morgantown, WV. Barbara and Charles Snodgrass lived on Pharoah's Run (now outside of Rivesville, WV and near Fairmont). After Charles died in 1808, Barbara brought their five children - Hiram, Beniah, Eli, Margaret, and Joseph - to Washington Co., OH in 1812. Hiram Snodgrass, the s/o of Barbara and Charles Snodgrass, Sr., married Druzilla OLIVER in Washington Co., OH in 1819. Hiram died in 1879 and Druzilla moved to Comb, WV (Ritchie Co.) to live with her son David Snodgrass. Druzilla Oliver Snodgrass died on June 17, 1885 at the age of 93 years and is buried in Harmony Grove Cemetery (also called Douglas & Hornets' Nest).
