Hi All I'm new to this county and list. My searches have revealed that my CALDWELL family was in the area during the mid 1700s. I'm particularly interested in Alexander CALDWELL of Mecklinburg and Sleepy Creek, his sons Robert, William and John. They seem to have moved on west by the 1790s. Andrew CALDWELL is a possible relative. Any CALDWELL researchers out there? Another question: I'm not finding Mecklinburg on my maps. Where is/was it?
