Jim, I checked both Va. & W.Va. for your locations. I did not locate a Mecklinburg, but I did locate a small settlement, Mecklenburg Wayside, in Mecklenburg Co., southern Va. It is on U.S.1, just a few miles SW of South Hill. I found a Sleepy Creek in northern Morgan Co., W.Va., near the Potomac River. Elaine
