Virginia, I have Robinson and HooK family that I just started tracing back to the VA area. My gg-father, John W. Robinson, b. 1843, is reported to have been born around Winchester, VA. It appears, though, that he may have been born in Hampshire Co., WV, which borders the VA county where Winchester is located. I believe John W. is the son of Richard J. Robinson, b. abt. 1812 and Rebecca Hook?. Richard J's father may have been John T. Robinson. As I said, I have just started tracing these leads. Do you know the county where your Benjamin and Sarah Robinson are from? Please let me know if my family fits into your line. I'll keep posting as I discover more.
