Lester, I do not have answers for you but some sideline info that may/may not help. George Sager, Loudon Co VA (wife Maria Elizabeth Sheets) moved to Union Co OHIO. The Jerome TWP (Union Co OHIO) history address both the Ewing's and Sager's. Both were founders of Jerome TWP. Since both families came from the same general area, it may be possible to trace your line from this info on the chance their related. I found the book at the IA Historical Library. James Ewing moved from OH to Adair Co IA. George Sager's son, Frederick, moved to MI. George Sager & Maria Elizabeth Sheets are my direct ancestors through my mother and the Ewings are related to me indirectly through my father. I hope this helps. Ruth Lilly
