    3. Cecil O'Dell's Pioneers of Old Frederick County mentions that Mordecai Mendenhall and wife Charity (Beeson) sold two tracts of land, one 200 acres and one 150 in Frederick Co., VA (a map shows the two tracts as somewhat northeast of Martinsburg, near Tuscarora Creek) to James Glen for 200 pounds on 20 May 1756 (the Mendenhalls had moved to Rowan Co., NC by then). The reference is Frederick Co., VA, deed book vol. 4, pp. 142, 145. That's the only Glen/Glenn mentioned; are you certain that your James had died by 1755? There are several Wrights, but none that seem to match your information. I would definitely check land records for Frederick Co. and Berkeley Co.--both the deed books and deed indices have been filmed by the (Mormon) Family History Library and can be ordered at any local Family History Center. Good luck!
