Hello Flo, I saw your post, and please forgive me for butting in. But I was wondering if there is any chance that there might be reference to a Hiltbrand INABENET (INABNIT, InAEBNIT, INABINET (same name, just different spellings) in this book, "Pioneers of Old Frederick Co., Va. "? He died June, or early July 1764 in Frederick Co. (now Shenandoah Co.) Va. His wife had pre-deceased him a short time earlier, and they left 3 minor sons, John (later married Hannah _____ ), Joseph (later married Barbara "Barbary" PARKERSON, daughter of Joseph PARKERSON and Susanna WATSON) and Jacob (later married Mary PARKERSON, who may have been sister of Barbara). The boys were taken back to Lancaster, Pa., but later returned to Frederick & Shenandoah Co., Va. John died as a young adult, leaving widow Hannah and 2 known minor sons, John and Jacob. John appears to have died before 1802, and unknown whether he had a family or not. Jacob is believed to have married Sarah BAKER. As time passed, the name appears to have also been spelled ABNET, ABNETT and ABNOTT, and possible other variations.
