Would anyone on the list have access to a book of baptismal records of Christ Episcopal Church, Winchester, VA? I understand that there is such a printed book but it is in the archives of Handley Library and cannot be placed on loan. I need to find out if the book shows an index of the baptisms of children of Lydia Jolliffe (Bruce) and James Bruce, circa 1790's and early 1800's. I would like to be certain that their children are in the book before driving to Winchester,VA. Unfortunately two well-known, printed genealogies disagree on the names and dates of Lydia and James' children. The will does not mention their names. Lydia and James were married by the Episcopalian minister, Alex. Balmain. Lydia was disowned by the Quakers for marrying outside Quakerism.
