Hampshire/Frederick County Friends, My father and I will be returning to Frederick County, VA and Hampshire/Hardy Counties, WV in early April and we need help with detailed directions to the burial place of Capt Jeremiah Smith (1711-1787) and other early settlers (100 or more graves there, most unmarked). According to Dr. Kerns, in his book "Frederick County, Virginia: Settlement and Some First Families of Back Creek Valley, 1730-1830--this site is "just north of U.S. Route 50 on the west side of Back Creek near Gore, VA", but I don't know exactly where or how to get there. Also, in Hardy County, I am looking for anyone with information on the homestead (including exact location) of Enoch Park (1794-1859) m. Margaret Ruckman. I have heard that it is still standing. Enoch is buried near Kirby, WV. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
