    1. [OLD-FREDERICK-CO-VA] ROBINSONs in VA -> KY/TN/NC? / JOHN ROBINSON, b. 1938 Spotsylvania Co., VA?
    2. Christopher Robinson
    3. Helen, Noticed your posting for KY Robinsons. Was this a look up or are you working on your line in KY? My direct line came to Louisville in the late 1870s/early 1880s and appear to have remained in the Louisville area, my, g-father, John Dilley Robinson, being the only one of his siblings to have children. I know that "Farmer" has traced some Robinsons in his line, (Benjamin and descendants, I believe) locating to KY from Harrison Co., VA. Do you have Robinsons entering KY (or TN or NC) in the early 1800s or prior? I am still searching for the elusive brothers (sons of John Robinson, b. 1738) to my gggg-father, John T. Robinson. They are unnamed in the two history books I have, and only mentioned as moving to Tennessee circa 1800. I believe these brothers could connect many of the postings I have seen for Robinsons in TN, KY,and NC to the line of Christopher, but so far have been unsuccessful with this endeavor. Another lister just sent me the following as a possible brother to my John T. Robinson: Joseph Robinson. B. 07-Jun-1786, Amherst Co., VA, d. Bef 1848 in Green Co., KY I have not had a chance to look into this yet. Do you have any info on this Joseph or other brothers to John T. Robinson, b. abt 1780, s/o John Robinson, b. 1738. I also received the following on John Robinson, b. 1738, but am concerned about the accuracy of this info, as there is no source and some the children listed are identical to the names I have for my John T. Robinson, b. 1780. (Again, the two histories (likely one cited the other) I have for children of John Robinson and Lucy Smith only lists John T. and two brothers.) Maj. John Robinson, b. ca 1738, St. George, Spotsylvania Co., VA, d. 17-Sep-1798 in Amherst Co., VA. 1st wife Catherine Page, no children shown. 2nd wife Lucy Smith and I show 15 children. The boys are: William, Stephen, Henry, John, Robert, Beverly, Lewis, Thomas, Hiram, Simeon, Arthur and Joseph. First two born in Amherst Co., VA. then Henry born in Frederick Co., VA, then John you know about. I show Robert just born in Virginia, and no place of birth shown for Beverly or Lewis, then back to Amherst Co., for Thomas, Hiram, Simeon, Arthur and Joseph. I don't show any references to Tennessee for any of them, but some died in Green Co., KY. I would appreciate any info you have on these individuals, and any history you might have with your line that would help. Thanks, Chris _________________________________________________________________ Say “good-bye” to spam, viruses and pop-ups with MSN Premium -- free trial offer! http://click.atdmt.com/AVE/go/onm00200359ave/direct/01/
