A cousin was able to find the baptismal records of Johann (John) Adam Lang/Long (1767-1854) in the book "Cumberland County Church Records of the 18th Century" His parents were Johann (John) Georg Lang and Cathrina. Adam was born Jan 26, 1768 and baptised May 15, 1768. Sponsors were John Adam Small and Elizabeth Land. [I figure that was a typo and it was Lang]. The minister was John Conrad Bucher. Adam was listed under the section "Baptisms at Falling Spring, near Conogethique." Questions: Wouldn't John Adam Small have been Johann Adam Klein in German? Does anyone know if Bucher was German Reformed or Lutheran? Where is "...Falling Spring, near Conogethique"? Does any of this look familiar to anyone on the list?
