    3. Hello, Everyone, Does someone out there have good maps of the Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, and the Washington Co. Maryland area? I don't. I've spent some time every day for about four or five days trying to get a definite location as to where the land for Heinrich Raudebusch, my ancestor, is in relation to the location of Adam Lang's baptism (another ancestor). I'm going to give you what information I have. Perhaps you can tell me the exact locations of these places. I want to know how far apart they are and what lies between them. If I can get these landmarks in place in my mind, I'm sure to be able to add to my store of knowledge. From Gladfelter's "PASTORS AND PEOPLE," "The first evidence of a German church in Chambersburg is contained in the minutes of the 1768 coetus, when Conrad Bucher reports FALLING SPRING as one of his 6 congregations." He was in CARSLILE, and CHAMBERSBURG, Franklin Co., PA at the time. From an email: "FALLING SPRING is near CONOCOCHIQUE. I'm not sure how it is spelled now, this is how it is pronounced. It is in CHAMBERSBURG, PA. I used to live there and went to Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, and behind it is the Conocochique--a creek--and a very old graveyard. Chambersburg is in PA, about a half hour from the state line between PA and MD--don't know if Frederick Co. at one time included this area or not, but I do know that is where Falling Spring is." From "YORK COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA DEEDS 1762-1763 Vol.3" "6 Apr 1763 Conrad Bucher of Cumberland Co., Gent. one of the Administrators of George Hook late of CARLISLE in CUMBERLAND Tavernkeeper Deceased who died Intestate. By Proprietaries Warrant dated at Philadelphia the 30 Jan 1749 grandted unto George Adam Martin 100 A.--adjoining HENRY REINBENBUSH and Henry Jacobs at BIG CONEWAGO in YORK COUNTY... Tract of Land was Surveyed and found to be Bounded on the South side of BIG CONEWAGO CREEK, thence by HENRY REIDEBUSH.... Here are my questions: 1. How many miles are there between Falling Spring and the Big Conewago Creek where York Co. is on one side and Franklin is on the other? 2. Please tell me where Heinrich Raudenbusch's place is using present names and places. ...sorry to be a pain, but I'm stuck. Thanks, Virginia Long Hutson [email protected]
