I can tell you this about what I believe I discovered about my ancestors. The Copes' of England were Knights for hundreds of years starting in the late 1300s. The Bush family are related to these English Knight Copes. The English Knights are desc.s of the Roman Catholic Soldiers who had rank in this military army. The Roman Soldiers of England spoke Latin as did all of the Holy Roman Empire . The English Knights familiy MOTTOS are all in LATIN left over from the Roman Soldiers. These Roman soldiers were all SLAVES and former Slaves came from the MIDDLE EAST( Mediterian ) . They could gain freedom and be a Roman citizen once their military duty was done. My Cope DNA for 12 markers includes a Jewish Man in Europe and 10 of 12 markers I have Arab DNA in Syria. You will also notice what I noticed in that many of the English Knight dec.s families became QUAKERS in America just like the COPES' did.
