David, Diane, and Listers, I am not an EVANS researcher; however, I am very interested in them as my third Great Grandfather Stephen A. RITTER/RUTTER (born 1790) left the Frederick County, Virginia area moving to Ohio where he co-founded the Village of St. Louisville in Licking County in about 1837 and where you find many by the surname EVANS. It is said of the Licking County, Ohio area that many came from Loudoun Co., VA and surrounding counties. While I don't know the connection of your Quaker EVANS family, here are some interesting facts. Chocy "Licking Co., OH Prob. Rec. 1828-1904" 1.
