I have found a James Wells, b. abt. 1797 living in Darby Township in Pickaway County, Ohio in the 1860 U.S. Census. His daughter, Sathrona Wells was my GGGGrandmother. The census list James place of birth as Virginia. Since he was residing close to several other families from Shenandoah Co., VA I'm wondering if he may have gone to Ohio with this group. Is anyone familiar with this Wells family or researching this family, i.e., does anyone have information on this individual? His granddaughter, Melissa Anne Bettes' (Sathrona's daughter) married Enoch Henry, the grandson of another Shenandoah resident, Enoch Henry b. 1780, that went to Ohio from Shenandoah abt. 1805/6 with a large group of individuals from Shenandoah.
