    1. [OLD-FREDERICK-CO-VA] ROBINSON, (John T., William, Richard, Beverly, Samuel, Joseph L.), VA(WV), 1800s
    2. Christopher Robinson
    3. I recently got a new lead on my Robinson line and have traced the family back to Harrison Co., VA (now WV) around 1843 with the birth of my gg-father, John W. Robinson. I believe prior to this the family was in the Hampshire Co., VA (now WV) area at least as far back as 1781. I don't know how long this family was in the Harrison Co. area, or if all Robinson were traveling together. My gg-fathers parents were Richard J. Robinson, b. abt. 1812 and Nancy Hook (daughter of Thomas Hook and Elenor McVickers, both from Hampshire Co, VA area), b. abt. 1820. There may have been Hook family migrating with these Robinsons, as Nancy's parents and some of their children are found later in LaFette, MO. Richard J. and Nancy (Hook) Robinson moved to Noble County, Ohio abt. 1854 with their children. Per a history book, I believe Joseph L. Robinson also moved to this area at some point. I would like any info on these Robinsons: John Thomas Robinson (John C, John, William, John, Christopher, John, John) was born 1781. He married Elizabeth Emerson Children of John Robinson and Elizabeth Emerson are 1. William Robinson 2. Richard J. Robinson, b. abt. 1812 m. Nancy Hook, b. abt 1820, children born in VA(WV) include my gg-father, John W. Robinson, b. 1843, and Theopolis (female) several years younger. Family moved to Noble Co., OH abt 1854. Three other daughters were born in Ohio after 1854: Frances, Margaret, and Ellen Robinson. 3. Beverly W Robinson 4. Samuel Robinson 5. Joseph Lewis Robinson b 1827 m. Mary E Waters, b MD d/o E & E WATTERS; wf/o J L d 12 May 1864, buried Harrison Co., VA (WV). I believe Joseph also moved to Noble Co., OH, date unknown. John W. Robinson m. Dec. 24, 1867, Olive B. Dilley they family moved to Indianapolis, IN abt. 1871, then to Louisville, KY abt. 1879. There may have relations in IN. Also, I have nothing yet on Other children of John Robinson: William, Beverly, Samuel and Joseph. Please contact me for additional info on the Richard J. Robinson line, or if you have any info on these other Robinson lines. Thank you, Christopher L.
