Hi Dottie, I looked for Philip Porter in my records and could not find him . There are a few Porters in the deed books Thomas Porter 1767-1771 1780-1789 Nicholas and William Porter. I found only one Brent and his name is George Brent with these men Chas. Dick and Alexander Wright as witnesses to deed 1 Jan 1767 of Thomas Duncanson of parish Forres, Co. Murray , Great Brittian called SCOTLAND. Thomas has brother Robert Duncanson of Fredericksburg who died Frederick CO VA 1764 and Thomas of Scotland authorizes his other brother James Duncanson to sell this land to Edward Stevens. David
