I think this Thomas Smith is the one listed next to Andrew COPE 1782 Montgomery CO VA tax list. Jeremiah Herel , Robert and George McCoy are on the 1785 Russell CO VA tax list and a Jeremiah Herrel and William Herrel are on the 1810 Russell CO VA tax list. A hugh number of these 1810 Russell CO VA families are on the 1820 Floyd and 1820 Clay CO KY census were my Copes' are listed. David
