Morris Rees Will 18.11.1760- Nov 1768 Frederick CO VA - This is a Quaker from Nottingham, PA. Wife Sarah, chd- John, Morris, Jacob, David, Margaret, Mary, Hannah and Thomas. Wit: William Joliffe, Henry Reese and Richard Burkett. Here is what I found on this family and I bet a million dollars the Reese/Rees desc.s of this family do not know all of what Iam about to list. I found most of this in the Nottingham, PA MM records. Guess who comes into the picture well one of JOB family that I just listed. There all related in VA if Quakers . Morris Rees marr. Sarah Butterfield 14.1.1718 Nottingham, PA MM- chd- New Garden MM PA has these 2 births. 1) John b) 24.3.1720 2) Morris b) 1.9.1721 3) Jacob has wife Martha NFI 4) David son of Morris & Sarah marr. Martha Chandler 27.5.1756 Nottingham MM. Martha Chandler listed dau. of Jacob on marr. is dau. of Jacob Chandler who marr. Martha Greave 3.7.1730 Center MM, New Castle CO DE . This Jacob is son of Swithin Chandler & Ann ( some list Bowater ? ) . Swithin & Ann are at the John Cope to Charity Jefferis wedding 30 Nov 1721 Bradford, PA. Charity Cope's uncle & Aunt are Swithin & Ann Chandler grd-parents of Martha Chandler who marr. David Rees son of Morris. Charity Cope and Martha Rees are cousins as you can see here. 5) Mary marr. Job Hastings 21.9.1751 East Nottingham MM- this Job Hastings is son of John & Mary Hastings of Salisbury , Lancaster CO PA. 6) Margaret marr. Archibald JOB 30.7.1752 East Nottingham MM- Archibald Job is son of Thomas Job & Elizabeth Maxwell . This Thomas Job is the son of Andrew JOB that I just sent out. 7) Hannah NFI 8) Thomas - has wife Margaret This Morris Rees is the one I listed as buying land from Thomas Mills & Elizabeth Harrold . Thomas & Elizabeth Harrold Quaker 1730 Prince George CO MD marriage had a witnesses Morgan , Martha and Elinor BRYAN. Morgan Bryan is the grd-father of Rebecca Bryan wife of Daniel Boone. What we have here is that all of the descs. of David Morris & Martha Chandler are cousins of all of the Copes' that desc. from Charity Jefferis Cope. Note: in Gilbert Cope's 1861 History of the Cope family he had found over 3,000 desc.s of John & Charity Cope and listed in order using a number system 1-3000 for every desc. Gilbert Cope also copyrighted the Fan Family Charts you may see today. David
