I believe these militia lists were lists of men in the district who were of age for militia duty, and those listed did not necessarily take part im militia drill or action. --- Dan Treadway P. O. I think militias were often only lists of various "companies" of all adult males in an area since all were required to participate by law, mostly to build roads and defensive forts against any Indian uprising. They were mostly defensive, and usually not involved in military campaigns, except in times of emergency. Gerry Parchman
