SARAH LARGENT in Frederick Co, KY but he is not related as he died young. This is what I know about Philip Porter and his family. If anyone knows any thing about his father or siblings, I would be grateful as there is a record see below that in 1810 he was in Pughtown, Frederick Co, VA. ..1810 CENSUS: for Pughtown, Frederick Co., VA lists Porter, Philip View ImageOnline State: Virginia Year: 1810 County: Frederick Roll: M252_68 Township: Page: 344 Image: 658. Lists 1 male under 10, 1 10-15, 2 15-25, 1 over 45; 1female under 10, 1 over 45 (likely Nancy Brent.) One researcher believes there was a son, Joseph Sexton Porter, who probably died young, as there is no record of him, yet Nancy Brent's brother, Robert, does in a letter mention a Joseph" in the context of apparently grieving for him.
