Looking for information on Bill, the slave and son of Adam ALBERT. Bill's mother was named Pegg and also a slave owned by Adam. When Adam Albert died in July 1807, ownership was transferred to his second wife Flora (HUFFMAN) Albert. The family lands were in the Winchester VA area, on the north side of Red Bud Creek. An extract from the will transferring Pegg to Flora: "Secondly I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Flora my negro woman Pegg during her natural life." Following is an extract from the valuation of the will done by the executors: 1 Negro woman Peggy and child valued at 200 1 Mulatto boy named Sampson 150 Dols, and 1 Ditto named Bill 75 Dols 225 It is not known if Sampson, or the unnamed child with Pegg (Peggy) were also Adam's children as well.
