Can anyone tell me how far the location referred to as White Hall, Frederick County is from the location of Averill Township Smithfield Post Office Jefferson County is. I have found a Catherine Bailey at White Hall in 1860 and Catherine Bailey at other location in 1870. Hoping these are the same people to clear up family mystery. Some members are the same and then there are some unheard of. I am hoping that they are close enough to be the same. I know that this was a tumultuous time so maybe they moved.
