Jennifer, I have been unable to contact as you did not leave your e-mail address, I believe you are a member of this list, here is a URL for more information on Ruddel's Station. Please e-mail me privately if you receive this. Thanks. http://www.webpub.com/~jhagee/ruddles.html Jennifer wrote: I'm trying to identify the children of THOMAS WILLIAMS who was a comrade of SIMON KENTON -- joining him in his first exploration of the Canelands. I have an Abraham WILLIAMS that may be his son born about 1790, who married in HARRISON Co. I have read that Thomas Williams helped Simon Kenton build a blockhouse at the Hinkston or Ruddell station in 1776-1777. When the fort was attacked by British Capt. Byrd in 1780 -- I'm not sure if Williams was present. This source says the station is now in Harrison Co. But my map shows Ruddle's Mill in Bourbon Co., close to the Harrison Co. border. Do you know what county this station is currently in?
