My reseach has taken me back to Adam and Eve Margaret ( ) LAWYER, whose daughter Eve married Elisha NEWCOMB, with bond signed 25 Sep 1816 with a Henry NAVELL. The abstract of the Frederick Co Will book 6 page 505 gives that Adam LAWYER had died before 7 Dec 1799. In their book "The Carpers of Carpers Valley" Janice M Carper and Lois C Marbert give that the LAWYERs lived near the CARPERs and like them leased land from a Robert Warmley CARTER. Also gives that a John BOWLES as his second marriage married Elizabeth, a daughter of Adam and Eve Margaret LAWYER. Carpers Valley is about four miles southeast of Winchester. Does anyone have further information on the family or any on the origins of Adam and Eve Margaret LAWYER?
