In hopes of finding information on the origins of Michael RITENOUR (d abt 1825, Frederick Co, VA), I now have locally available a copy of the book "Adam and Magdalene (Munch) Ridenour" (1973) by Iva C Yarlick of Arlington, VA. This Adam RIDENOUR settled on land that had been granted by Governor GOOCH to a Jost HITE in a valley called Powell's Fort in Shenadoah County between 1768-1775. For my search for Michael, the book fills in some background information, but he is not covered. The book has an index and I can check it for particular names.
