    3. Dear Corinne, Before Redstone MM look at Hopewell MM in Winchester VA. It was the mother meeting for those who went west of the mountains at an early date. The folks at Swarthmore Library are very helpful in figuring our where to look. Sometimes the answers can be quite surprising. There is a place named Fredericktown in Knox Co., Ohio. I visited a friend there and was told that a number of Quaker families went there from Frederick, MD to get away from slavery. When I went to look up these people for my friend I found that their meeting was under Alum Creek Meeting in Delaware, Co., Ohio a looooooong way away.
