Do I dare mention a Smith? I have a Simon Peter Smith b. abt. 1824 who married Martha Hammack in 1849 at Stephens City Methodist Church, Rev. John Allemong. Simon and Martha resided in Fred. Co. 1850; later moved to Warren Co. (P.O. Nineveh 1860; Front Royal 1870). Martha died c. 1859; second wife was Margaret Ann. Am wondering if anyone knows of any connection to an Isaac Smith (wife Julia; son Isaac N.) or a Lewis Smith; am trying to find Simon's parents; censuses indicate both Isaac and Lewis Smith families nearby in 1850.
