Dear Members, I read with interests your comments regarding the settlement of lands under Benjamin Bordin. Thanks agains Dr. Kerns for your knowledge of the subject. You are a great resourse for our group. I have recently acquired a map of the Borden grant in Augusta, Va. I was happily suprised to find a land owner by the name of William DEAN who had 265 acres of land in 1747. Since I am researching the DEANS who settled in Carroll, Va it is likely that there is a connection between these two. Now on to my question. Does anyone have any additional information on this particular William DEAN? I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. Also, I am a descendant of Alexander Ross who settled in Old Frederick Co. I have some information on him and his family and would be happy to share if you would e-mail me privately.
