I am looking for information on Joseph Dunn who married Lucy L. Stimmel 7 Sept 1827 in Frederick Co, VA. According to his tombstone (in Farmington, IL) he was born on 11 June 1804, according to the census in Virginia. Lucy Stimmel is the daughter of Abraham and Ann Maria Stimmel living in White Hall (Apple Pie Ridge) which is north of Winchester in Frederick County. Lucy's parents had both immigrated from Germany and lived in Frederick Co Maryland for several years before coming to Virginia. They remained in White Hall until they died: Abraham in 1848 and Ann Maria in 1866. Both are buried in Lower Ridge Graveyard in White Hall. Joseph and Lucy left Virginia soon after they were married and lived in Ohio then Illinois. Their marriage was performed by George M. Frye and their bondsman was Thomas Hancher. George Frye was the brother of Christopher Frye and Michael all three were ministers. Any information that could be a clue to my search would be appreciated.
