His mother was Ann Bonham, from Indenture of Apprenticeship dated May 1, 1830, Knox County, Ohio. His father was Moses BONHAM from Guardianship of Smiley BONHAM, Knox County, Ohio dated November 3, 1829. Estate of Ann BONHAM, 1831, Knox County lists buyers: MARQUIS, Wm., Henry, Edward,Lucinda, Mary, Samuel, James; Iasaac MORRISON, Greenbury KING, Wm. PARKS, Luther HILL, Joseph ADAMS, John MOTT, Josph ROBERTSON, Benjamin FUTHEY, and Thomas M. BONHAM. Based on deeds on record at Knox County I know: 1811 Moses, Sr. BONHAM bought land from MARQUIS; 1835-1839 this land was deeded between Moses BONHAM, Jr. to Thomas M. BONHAM; Matilda BONHAM to Benona AXTELL, husband of her sister Amanda BONHAM; Mary Ann BONHAM to AXTELL, Smiley H. BONHAM to AXTELL; Thomas M. BONHAM to Isaac Hadley.
