I am searching for any information on the Crouse, Krouse, Krause, Beatty, Beaty families who lived in or around Old Frederick Co. VA early 1700's to mid 1800's. Am trying to find parents of a Robert Beatty (Beaty) b ca 1796-1801) and Jane Crouse (Krouse) and Michael Crouse (Krouse). Jane was born ca 1813 and married Robert Beatty in 1831 in Frederick Co. VA. I know there were Krouse (Crouse) families living in the area in the 1700's. Am trying to find which one or ones Jane and Michael are descended from. The same for Robert Beatty. Robert and Jane later lived near Middletown, VA. Some of their children lived in Reliance, Middletown, Front Royal, Stephens City, and Strasburg. Both Jane and Robert are buried in the Riding's Chapel Cemetery. I found a marriage record for a Michael Crouse (Krouse) and Elizabeth Sherf (Shert) in 1818, Frederick Co.
