WELTON-KESSEL ROAD I am hoping to find someone that lives in Hardy County, West Virginia that will provide some information for me. I found an area on a U.S. Geological Survey Map referred to as the WELTON-KESSEL ROAD. I would greatly appreciate it if you would look for a sign in that area that provides information about WELTON. If there is a sign, copy down the information on the sign. I am hoping that David Welton once owned property in the area. I posted a similar message several days ago that contained some errors. Thanks to the people that responded that pointed out the errors. Thanks in advance for your help, Monte Buzzard <mbuzzard@fix.net>

Wally & Mike -- I would appreciate it if one of you would send me the LYTLE URL. I'm searching for the family of George LITTLE/LYTLE born ca 1770-1775. I don't know the place of birth of George, but his wife Mary VANDAMENT was born in Fayette Co, PA in 1780. (The VANDAMENT family moved to Brown Co, OH.) Would you please let me know the Lytle URL also. I tried to find it with a search engine, but I couldn't locate the correct one.
I am researching the Gerard and Lloyd families....These families could also be found in Huntingdon Co., Pa., Greene Co., Ohio, and there was thought that Rev. John Gerard , a Baptist, may have had Quaker affiliations.
I am looking for information on Richard D'Albey, a French Huguenot who arrived about 1750. He resided in Frederick Co. VA. His first wife is unknown, he had 4 children from this union, Abner, Abel, Nathan and Priscilla. His second wife Susannah Harris, a devout Quaker, was from Philadelphia. They had 8 children, all born in Frederick County, Joseph, Aaron, Joel, Isreal, Rachel, Elizabeth, Martha and Susannah. They were born in the later half of the 1700's. I would appreciate any information on this family. Betty Baca BKnoop@aol.com

KESSEL SURNAME I am hoping to find someone that lives in Hardy County that will provide some information for me. I found an area on a U.S. Geological Survey Map referred to as WELTON. It is located near Kessel. ItÕs about half way between the Mt. Olive Church and the Oak Grove Church. I would greatly appreciate it if you would look for a sign in that area that provides information about WELTON. If there is a sign, copy down the information on the sign. If there are people that live in the area of WELTON, ask them if they know the name of the person with the Welton surname that founded the area or the town. I am hoping that David Welton was the founder or that he once owned property in the area. Thanks in advance for your help, Monte Buzzard <mbuzzard@fix.net>
I am searching for information on Adam Little who lived in Frederick County in 1810.(federal census) I found a reference to his will which stated that he had 10 children and named 9 of them. I can trace a number of these children to Ross Township, Greene County, Ohio starting in 1817. The children are: Jacob, John, Sarah, David, Martin, Phillip, Catherine, William and Elizibeth. I have also found refernce in "Marraige bonds" by Joan D. Hackett (Heritage Books) that Adam married Martha Patton in 1808 or 1818(second marraige ?) and that son David married Nancy Riggle in 1814 and that son Jacob married Polly Ritenour in 1808.Son Martin married Sarah Rittenour in 1819 and daughter Catherine married Isaac Oldacre in 1818. What I would like to do is trace Adam Little's ancestry, find out who bore these nine children and figure out which one is the father of my g-g-g grandfather Simon K. Little who was born in 1814.Oh yes, and name the tenth child, unnamed in the will. Thanks for all help, Michael B. Little
It's travel season - and if you are travelling back to the old homestead for a reunion, wedding, or just plain old vacation, here is a great idea!! If you take your camcorder along to capture all those wonderful family moments - visit a cemetery (or two) and videotape all the headstones. When you get home, you can fire up your VCR and transcribe the information and send it to the List, it will then be stored in the list Archives!!
